Course No. MTH11
Math - Basic for Technicians and Associates
Description:
For many the thought of having to perform mathematical computations brings back memories of academic exercises with little practical value. This workshop takes a rather utilitarian approach and demonstrates how you can begin using the power of mathematics in solving every day problems we face at work. Many situations do not require complex calculations, rather the ability to transform a real situation into an equation, and then solving the same for the best possible outcome. Simple concepts are covered and more emphasis is placed on problem solving applications rather than theoretical topics
Benefits:
- Overcome the fear of using mathematics
- Translate real life problems into mathematical models and solve them with confidence
- Use resources more efficiently, regardless of what they are - time, materials, dollars, manpower, etc.
Topics Covered:
- Expressing word problems as mathematical equations
- Solving simple equations
- Optimization techniques
- Fundamentals and applications of geometry and trigonometry to spatial problems
- Analyzing electrical circuits using equations
- Exercises Custom exercises based on your company's needs - please contact us 4 weeks ahead of the class date to get these ready
