Course No. LM21
Lean Manufacturing Line Design
Description:
This workshop enables participants to understand how to implement Lean concepts and approaches in manufacturing operations. Failure to implement these methodologies often silently rob companies of precious resources, and become a constant drain on profitability. Spot the wastes and eliminate / reduce the same.
Benefits:
- Gain the ability to identify the wastes in manufacturing
- Experience improved operational efficiencies through reduction / elimination of waste in manufacturing
- Measure and demonstrate improvement quickly
Topics Covered:
- The 7 wastes of manufacturing, 5Ss, Visual Management, and other elements of Lean Manufacturing
- Evaluating current state - Process Mapping
- Defining "future state" (takt time, line design) and the gap in performance
- Reducing / Eliminating waste using a structured approach
- Implementing the elements of Lean methodologies, and evaluation of the same
