Delta G D & T - ASME Y 14.5 Updates
Description:
Aimed at the professional who already has a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, this work shop provides information on the changes from the 1988 standard. Basics of G D & T will not be covered in this class as it assumes the participant is a user of this approach. Although the workshop is delivered at a brisk pace, the participants will greatly benefit if they bring in drawings from their workplace for discussion in the class.

Topics Covered:
- Features - of size, axis, center plane, derived median planes, derived median line
- Datums - datum feature, and it's simulator
- Size - actual, local, mating size, nominal, resultant condition, virtual condition
- Rules - fundamental, and datum referencing
- Symbols - symmetry, free state, tangent plane, protected tolerance, statistical tolerance, etc.
- New Concepts - boundary, composite position, and composite profile
Pre-requisites:
Understanding of ANSI Y14.5 1988 Standard, or experience in dimensioning and
tolerancing. Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints / Engineering Drawings
